It's been an amazing journey for Will Mellor and Nancy Xu, but sadly they took their last turn on the dance floor in the Semi-Final, just one week before the 2022 Grand Final.

All of our couples performed two dances in last night's show, but Will and Nancy's combined score saw them land bottom of the leaderboard and in the dreaded Dance Off following the public vote. They chose to perform their Couple's Choice routine to a 90s Manchester-inspired medley again, facing Fleur East and Vito Coppola, who danced their Charleston to Tu Vuo' Fa L'Americano by Fiorello.

But the Judges made the final call, with Motsi Mabuse saying: “This season has been challenging, it has been very close, every single show, and tonight it has not been any different. It is proof of your quality, it is proof of your championship, you can be proud of yourself, I have decided, because of micro details, that I am going to save Fleur and Vito.”

Craig Revel Horwood and Head Judge Shirley Ballas agreed with Motsi, while Anton du Beke opted to save Will and Nancy. However, the majority rule sealed their fate, sending Will and Nancy home.

When Tess asked Will if he had any final words, he said: “I have to thank you all for giving me this chance to put a smile on my mum's face, she deserves it. I’ll take whatever I have learnt from this show forward in whatever I do, because it shows you can achieve more than you think. I didn’t think I’d be able to get anywhere near this and I am so proud of what we have achieved but also everybody who has voted for me, who has supported me, the messages I’ve had from my local community and children. Thank you all so much, we really, really appreciated every bit."

When asked if she had any words for her partner, Nancy added: “I want to thank everyone who works on the show, it’s an incredible show, I’ve had such an amazing journey. The support from the whole team is just phenomenal. I’m proud of the partnership, we’ve had such an amazing journey together. I really wish I could make more memories with you and your family.”

Will and Nancy showed such amazing potential from their Week One Jive, and their performances only got better! We'll miss them in the Ballroom next week, but you can catch them together on tonight's It Takes Two on 成人论坛 Two at the later time of 9pm.
