This week World Tonight presenter, Robin Lustig, has joined the world of blogging.
The blog will focus on global affairs because we felt there was room for a forum to discuss the main trends and events in international affairs which is what The World Tonight does. However, my entries on this blog relate to stories covered in the programme and editorial issues arising from our coverage and your responses to them.
Robin's blog will discuss the issues themselves. Robin says this is where he will share his thoughts on world events and point readers in the direction of interesting comments he's heard or read.

I have attempted to make a complaint!
Now I wish to make a complaint concerning the dificulty in making a complaint!
To begin with it appears so simple. Go to the complaints invitation and click. Can I now register my complaint? No! I find a list of complaints asking me if my complaint is one of these. No! I am then directed to another page which then directs me to another. Nowhere to register my complaint yet. I continue to follow instructions and then ,Bingo, I am back where I started at the register a complaint page. I Am I being stupid? Possibly? Try it agin, same result and then again. Now the policy of the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ becomes obvious. Make it so difficult that very few complaints will get through! Silly me! Oh! Bye the way, where have you put the Spell Checker? Other sights can include one, Please advise me how to open yours. Incidentally, I have founded two still flourishing companies in my career so I don't think I'm all that thick!
How is it possible to ignore the evidence of tree rings? A mere glance can suffice to show that climate is a thing that cycles again and again over periods of hundreds of years. Such evidence is incontrovertible and is not amenable to distortion by "spin".
No, no, no, the real reason for the great and endless media hammering on global warming is to change a different kind of climate -- the climate of fear. What is that global tax I see on the horizon heading straight towards me, and who will collect it? What is that great crunching sound if not the terrible noise of approaching world government, with both the tax and the government under the auspices of the UN?
No thank you! How do you not know, dear ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳, that the government of the world is far different from what it seems to be? How can you blithely say that money and elitism do not ultimately equate to political hegemony?
In my entire life on this earth I have never seen anything so blatantly political, so nakedly self-serving, so contemptuously sure of its ability to manipulate the minds of the people, so perfectly obviously a scam!
Yes, the climate is changing, and yes it has changed countless times in the past, as the geological and fossil records show, through many past ages, none of which were as heavily industrialized or as heavily populated as the present age.
Blame the people and herd them cowed and cowering, cows indeed, into a pasture where they can be confined, and milked, and milked again? No, by God, not this time. The people smell a rat, and they are not so easily convinced these days.
