I was at the National Theatre yesterday and popped into their scenery studio - thought you might like to see what's going on backstage.

    nice workshop.

    is this for real?? you'd think that they've enough barbed wire of their own (to paint and use in a production at any rate); perhaps you could provide more detail, such as weight of wire and cost of shipping? this should be interesting.

    I would venture to sugget that much time, effort and use of files or grinders is going into BLUNTING the barbed wire so as to remove any hazards for cast and crew.

    Better for the NT to satisfy itself that all is risk-free before building the set, wherever that may be.

    No doubt an HSE inspector will be round to examine it in detail!
