That up there is the link to this week's show on the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳'s iPlayer. You can listen to the grab bag of Welsh music detailed below any time between now and the start of next week's show (Sunday 31 July 10pm).

Raging hard against the dying of my hearing (my fault, I stood next to the speakers at their gig in Manchester last Tuesday) are Cardiff's Future of the Left, with a repeat of the incredible session they recorded for us back in July. We're repeating the session because 1) it is indubitably the finest recorded in recent times for my programme and 2) they're playing the final homecoming date of their 5 month world tour at Clwb Ifor Bach in Cardiff this Thursday night (28 January). If you're anywhere near Cardiff that night, buy or beg yourself a ticket. It's the most thrilling, hilarious and intense live show on the planet right now.

Viv Albertine was the Slits guitarist and co-songwriter for all of their hugely influential albums. They were one of the finest evocations of the original punk ethos. Her recent work in Viv Albertine's Limerance - after a 25 year sabbatical away from her guitar - is as fresh and wonderful as anything she's ever recorded. And these Words of Wisdom are top drawer enlightenment and inspiration.

Huw Williams peers back through the swirling vortex of Welsh music space time and finds us a piece of delightful fingerpicked folk loveliness from Sam Parry. We'd like to know an awful lot more about Sam Parry. If you can help, e-mail me at: adam.walton@bbc.co.uk

Lara Catrin translates Jen Jeniro's woozy and delightfully psychedelic Dolphin Pinc a Melyn.

Ben Hayes hits us with some frequently overlooked Colin Blunstone with which to tickle our inspiration gene.

And there are many ace and varied tunes. Including some very looooooooooooong ones. But, by golly, do they justify their lengthiness.

** On the subject of tuns: next Sunday night's show is the first Wall-to-Wall Welsh Music night of 2010. All new tunes / no talking waffle... if you have a piece of sound for us that you think is great - or you know someone who has but is far too shy / stoned / insouciant to send it in - please do it. Get that attachment out of your folder and superglue it on a e-mail to:
themysterytour@gmail.com together with a short biography and a contact number.

Lovely, thank you, diolch yn fawr, have a most excellent week!

Bye bye / hwyl,

Adam
