When Penycloddiau and Moel y Gaer were at the heart of local life
Maybe it's me, but every time I go walking over the I can't help thinking it must have been a cold, windswept and inhospitable place to live - in one of the Iron Age Hillforts dotted along our hilltops.
It was probably the panoramic view that made them all the rage 2000 years ago - at least you could see who was coming from a mile away [if they had the heart and stamina to visit - or attack].
Anyway, the findings of on the summits of Penycloddiau and earlier this summer are to given in to reveal the latest thinking about our ancestors and give us some clues about their daily lives.
