The inaugural 成人论坛 Scottish Writers’ Festival took place in the heart of Glasgow on Saturday, 19 March.
Presented by 成人论坛 Writersroom and 成人论坛 Scotland, the one day event brought together some of Scotland’s most respected writers, executives and producers from TV Drama, Radio Drama, Comedy and Children’s to offer practical insights into the development and production process.
Speakers included Bryan Elsley, Jess Brittain, David Kane, Louise Ironside, Paul Logue, Sara Harkins, Jack Docherty, Clara Glynn, David Ian Neville, Anne Edyvean and Gaynor Holmes.
The festival aimed to inspire, share a fund of real-world experience and to bring together writers who might effectively collaborate in future projects. It provided networking opportunities and delivered a big, bold reminder that Scotland has a fund of eager and talented writers who want to get their voices and their stories heard across the world.
Keynote speaker Bryan Elsley told delegates that Scottish drama had underachieved, before adding, ‘It’s time to change that!’ We hope that the first 成人论坛 Scottish Writers’ Festival will in some way help towards that ambition.
