My wife Jane and I stayed in Fowey in 2005,it was the most picturesque place we have ever been.We visited Mevagissey,Porth and The Eden project.I visited Mevagissey after 47yrs and Porth where we had our Honeymoon 36yrs earlier. In the words of that Austrian Actor "We'll be back".

We had the whole family there a few years ago at different locations and it was such fun bumping into them in unexpected places! A wonderful, relaxing place for holidays.

I've been going to fowey all my life for 16 years every year in the summer, mostly in Ragatta week. I know I will carry on going for ever because I feel like it's home due to all the fun memories. It's a town for all ages with beutiful coves and little beaches.

My husband and I traveled to Cornwall in 1998. Being an avid fan and reader of Daphne du Maurier, thus falling in love with all things Cornwall, I was thrilled to cross the River Fowey on the Boddinick Ferry and see "Ferryside", a former home of the author and her family. There were no disappointments in our travels around Cornwall - in fact, just whetted our appetites to return for more Cornish experiences.

ive visited fowey several times, every time i go it seems to get better, people in the legion are so friendly. a good time to see fowey and experihence the local hospitalaty is regatta week. a local tradition during this period is to dance on the town key with a pastie in one hand a pint in the other and a smile on your face this is a tradition i keep alive every year.happy days.

My grandma was Lily Miles and was born in Fowey in 1911.She moved to Hull in 1944 when she married my grandad but came "home" every Summer with my dad. When I was little Fowey is where I came on holiday and now I have brought my children to Fowey on holiday.Sadly my grandma died 3 years ago but I like to think she is watching us especially when we go past her home on Lostwithiel Street.Hopefully my children will carry on with the next generation visiting the beautiful town of Fowey.

Since i left Fowey, my life have changed forever, part of my heart stayed there and i can say it was the most beautiful town i麓ve never ever seen. A lot of people say Spain has a lot of amazing places to visit but in my personal opinion, nothing compare to Fowey. one thing i can say, THANKS for this unforgetable experience.

Reminds me of home, Marblehead Mass. USA. I was told our fisherman and settelers from the Seventeenth Century came from this area, Fowey. I hope to make it to Cornwall soon. I'm sure I will feel a conection, its' so beautiful

Polruan is my spiritual home My father and most of my family are from this most perfect part of the country. Its a shame I can't get a job there or I would be down there tomorrow.

Jack Stiles, Calgary Alberta Canada
My mother, then Gladys Rodda, was born in Fowey in 1894 and moved to Newquay to work around 1915, where she met my father who emigrated to Canada from Plymouth in 1910. My father was back in England in 1915 as he had joined the Canadian Army and had been shipped "overseas" My wife and I visited Cornwall in 1993 and loved every minute of it. We hope to return soon

We were in Cornwall 2 years ago and counting the months until we return which will be spring 2005. My favorite place to visit was GLENDURGAN GARDENS....to me it was a magical place and will return. Gardens of Heligan lovely and Eden most interesting but I still will return to Glendurgan and Lanhydrock.

When my girlfriend first took me to her home in Fowey, I knew she lived in a very special place. The people, the scenery and the atmosphere of the place, made me want to move there straight away. I thank God for meeting her!

John & Caroline Cole, Faringdon,Oxon
Fowey is the most beautiful, unspoilt place that we have visited. We were in Fowey for a long weekend July 29-August 1 2004 and fell in love with the atmosphere, way of life and the friendly locals. My Husband is from Ireland and he though no place was 'like home'.We are thinking of searching for either a holiday home overlooking the estuary or a home for all year! Someone please move and let us have your house!!

The pleasure of anchoring in Fowey harbor was The one pleasant experience of the war, Your people were the kindest, gentlest I'd ever met. Being there then was almost like experiencing Cornwall of medieval times. The modern photoes of Fowey and Polruan with the added houses do not aid my memories one bit. If there are any books available which show the harbor as I remember it I would love to aquire one. Thank you for being so nice. R.S.

Cornwall is a gem of a place. where most people would like to live, we can only travel down for the holidays, but i tell you if I ever win the lottery I will buy a place in a quite spot to live out my days in your lovely surroundings. Due respect to Cornish people - they have had it hard over the years as the archives tell us.. but you are blessed to belong to such a beautiful county.

Gayle Turowski, New York, USA
England is a beautiful country. I visited a few years ago but didn't make it to the coast. One day I plan to do that. England is a lovely country and the people are all so nice.

What's your name and where are you from?
