An outbreak of zombies wreaks havoc in the beleaguered town of Sunnydale, when a rogue virus starts turning the town's inhabitants into the undead.

As its ghastly effects spread like wildfire through the population, Buffy's entire attention is focussed on containing the crisis and dealing with the fallout, leaving her precious little time to make sure that the people she cares about are safe.
