While it’s good to see Faith back (especially in the scenes when she rubs Buffy up the wrong way) I’m not sure Caleb is such a welcome addition to the cast. The actor seems just a little bit too clean cut and bland to instil any fear. I could have done without Xander’s inspirational speech to the potentials, which comes seconds after he argued with Buffy over the same plan!
Bits I did love included the two fantasy sequences; Xander’s less than politically correct dream, complete with slow-mo pillow fight and Jonathan’s title sequence for a Faith TV series complete with a faithful (sorry) homage to original Trek. Could the latter be a dig by the production team at the network’s reluctance to commission a Faith spin off?
But the best bit? Why, the death of the cock-er-knee sparra potential. Well strike a light, I haven’t seen anything like it in all my puff, Mary Poppins.

Nathan Fillion is brilliant. It's a great effort to suddenly walk in and take over a season, but he succeeds with ease.
The rest of this episode is a bit odd, really.
