What the frell....?!

That's the sentence that sums up this episode. The one villain who has struck fear into everyone watching throughout the first three seasons has now been reduced to a slobbering animal, only to be replaced by a walking aphrodisiac.

Neither D'Argo nor Jool are acting like themselves; you don't know if the Interions are all good, or what actually happened to that civilisation; and we are left with a literal cliffhanger involving our poor John Crichton. Sometimes I do wonder whether the writers are all there...

I found What Was Lost part one a heck of a lot easier to watch than Crichton Kicks. Where that episode seemed bitty in places, What Was Lost part one seemed more focused.

I personally am not a fan of the Old Woman at all - I find her subplots to be erratic and downright bizarre at times, though I'm sure that she'll grow on us in time. A lot of time. And I'm sure many people will disagree with me, but I felt kinda sorry for Scorpius... (Strangely enough, most people agreed with you. Ed.)

Overall, I enjoyed this episode a lot more than the last one. It has still left a lot of unanswered questions for us, but it is still very early on in the season, and we can't expect to be spoon-fed the answers to these questions. I think that for the duration of this season, we're going to have to learn to feed ourselves for a change.

Farscape - a series that never assumes its audience is dumb - got my brain seriously in knots this week.

Now the gang is reunited, it was fun to see how the dynamics were altered, especially with the two new girls.

I almost felt sorry for Scorpius - and Braca. So, the yes man finally gets promoted but at what price? I didn't like Commander Cleavage very much, but I guess us girls get John so the lads need to get their kicks too.

The chemistry and tension were great, although I did find the cliffhanger rather lame. After all, they are not going to let the main character die again so soon into a new season.

I thought this episode was very stylish and I liked the way it was filmed, especially the way the characters have this beaten-up look from the last episode. I liked that as it is more realistic, unlike Star Trek or most sci-fi shows where a character may be all clean and healthy after having had a real good beating in the previous episode.

The story was good, and it made you think about who the old woman "granny" is. One of the ancients who once lived on that planet?

I felt sorry for Scorpy in that episode, although it seems to work well with the whole story. New characters never seem to be out of place and merge well into the show.

I did get a bit lost with the plot, but I got most of what was going on. It's a refreshing and enjoyable show to watch.
