MistaJam was introduced to 1Xtra in 2005 after being talent scouted while DJing in his hometown of Nottingham. 8 years later, he now has one of the station’s flagship shows and can be heard every weekday evening pioneering new music from 7-10pm, as well as crossing over to Radio 1 with his Saturday night dubstep and bass slot.
Not restricted by genre, Jam is into beats, basslines and melodies. Last year he featured on drum and bass heavyweights Knife Party’s Sleaze - and his lyrics stand true for his set at Radio 1’s Big Weekend. So, ‘until they kick us out, people move your feet…’
