Unprepared for Swiss German (Switzerland)

I emigrated to Switzerland back in 1996 after meeting my future husband whilst on a short break here as a student. My husband is Swiss, and these past 6 years have been one long learning phase. Luckily I could already speak German before I came here, but I was totally unprepared for Swiss German, and I still don't speak it today, although I understand it. Life in Switzerland is very good. The living standard is fantastic, and being able to pop to one of the famous ski resorts for a Sunday afternoon's stroll is great, and knowing the train will get you to work on time really puts the mind at ease, but England will always be my home - home is definetely where the heart is.
