A little pea

When travelling around Morocco, if I was asked if I spoke French rather than Arabic I replied un petit pois, which I've since found out means 'a garden pea'! I should have said un petit peu, which means 'a little'.

I did that for ages as well... the shame!!! Although j'aime les petits pois aussi - "I like garden peas as well. ^_^)
