To get into a club in Germany I had to show the receipt for the ticket. Scrabbling around in my pocket for it I said to the doorkeeper: Irgendwo hier habe ich ein Rezept. The look that followed was interesting to say the least.It was only later that I realised that Rezept means 'recipe' and not 'receipt'. I told him: 'Somewhere here I've got a recipe'. I'd meant to say Quittung of course.

Dear Robert, Rezept also means 'prescription', so maybe the doorkeeper thought you meant to buy some drugs ...
