What a desperate visit!

My grandmother had been living in Brazil for 40 years and had a good command of Portuguese. Still sometimes she got confused. One day a cousin of mine and I came to visit her without calling in advance. As she opened the door she said: Que visita desesperada!, what a desperate visit! Of course she meant: Que visita inesperada, what an unexpected visit.
