A mischievous guy
Whilst working In Madrid I was told in the office: Eres un tio cachondo, you're a fun/mischievous guy. The next day on entering my workplace I thought I would impress the two receptionists attempting to say I was fun. Unfortunately I said estoy cachondo meaning that I was more than happy to be looking at them! Oh dear, if it had not been in the blazing heat of Madrid's summer I would have got my coat!
Editor's note: This illustrates nicely the difference between ser and estar, both meaning 'to be' but in different ways, as Andy found out: ser una persona cachonda, to be a fun person, estar cachondo, to be horny.

In Mexico, ser una persona cachonda and estar cachondo means exactly the same: to be horny.
