Sex on the hill
One Sunday in Wales, I tried to explain to my minister's wife that we were late because sheet ice on the hill meant that we had to walk several miles to church. Unfortunately, I said Roedd na rhyw ar y rhiw, that there was 'sex' on the hill (rhyw = sex, rhew = ice)!

Hah! I wonder what her reaction was?! Actually although rhew is used extensively in north Wales it actually means 'frost'; ice is actually ¾±Ã¢.
