I know someone whose family name is Ruokolahti. The name is normal here in Finland, but when he goes abroad he gets into trouble. When he has to spell his name, the conversation tends to go like this:"Could you spell your name, please?""R-U-O-K ...""Yes! But please spell your name!""R-U-O-K ...""Yes I am perfectly OK! And I do need you to spell your name!"
