Suspicious interest

Me and my mate went on a French exchange a couple of years ago and at one point she almost slapped a guy because she thought he was asking to see her 'bra' when he actually was just concerned about the cut on her bras, arm, poor guy ... so misunderstood. Though we had good reason to be suspicious because once the guys had realised that we understood very little and would say oui, oui to everything to cover up our ignorance they had had a great deal of fun at our expense and I still have no idea half the stuff we agreed to!
