Northampton's "Lighthouse" |

Who on earth would build a lighthouse in Northampton with the sea some 70 miles away?
This particular tower structure was built in 1980 by the Express Lift Company as their lift testing tower and was opened by The Queen in 1982.
It has become a landmark of the area as the Angel has to the North East and the Tower has to Blackpool.
But the 成人论坛's Terry Wogan remorselessly lampooned it, branding it the "Northampton Lighthouse".
