Radio 2's Festival in a Day is Live from Hyde Park once again for 2018 on Sunday 9th September. Here's all the details of who's playing...

Kylie Minogue

The word icon is overused, but few would disagree that this petite pop princess has earned true iconic status!

More than thirty years since I Should Be So Lucky catapulted to the top of the UK Singles Chart, the hits keep on coming - 34 top 10 singles, 6 number one albums and over 80 million records sold worldwide.

Brace yourselves for a memorable singalong headline set, tinged with camp, decked with glitter and drenched in glamour.

Manic Street Preachers

One of the UK’s most notorious and best loved bands, Manic Street Preachers return to Hyde Park, after thrilling us in 2013, with a stash of anthemic sing-alongs like Design for Life and You Love Us. With a career spanning over 30 years, the Welsh legends have never lost their trademark politically inspired rock sound with which they announced themselves in 1986. With their newly released 13th album Resistance is Futile under their belts, expect The Manics to be a force on the Hyde Park stage.

Boyzone

Fire up the wind machines! Irish pop group Boyzone, made up of Keith Duffy, Michael Graham, Ronan Keating and Shane Lynch are heading to Hyde Park in what will be their 25th and final year as a band. This could be your last chance to enjoy those long-coat, up off the stools, big key-change moments as the boys perform their classic hits. Make sure you catch them because it is certain to be an emotional performance, don't forget your tissues!

Carrie Underwood

Unfortunately Carrie Underwood is unable to join us at Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park due to illness. We wish her well and look forward to welcoming her to Radio 2 in the future.

A longtime favourite of our own Bob Harris, her 2016 set at Radio 2's C2C at the O2 Arena was a highlight of this year's event, so we knew that this year we wanted to bring one of Country's biggest names to an even bigger audience at our Festival in a Day. After winning American Idol in 2005, Carrie Underwood has never looked back. Now, with seven Grammy Award wins, 64 Million records sold worldwide and a catalog of songs that have been streamed 2.6 billion times around the globe and with new album Cry Pretty set to storm the charts later this year.

The Shires

English country-pop duo The Shires formed in 2013 when Crissie Rhodes responded to Ben Earle's Facebook appeal for a female country singer to work with him. They clicked instantly, both having their hearts in the Home Counties and their heads in Nashville, USA – where they recorded debut album Brave after becoming the first UK signing to the legendary country label Decca Nashville. That refreshing blend of classic pop rock and uplifting country anthems with an indigenous twist earned them another first, as the only British country band to date to enter the charts in the top 10. With the infectious singles Nashville Grey Skies and Friday Night they are blazing a trail for home-grown country music.

All Saints

Their brief appearance at Proms in the Park in 2016 went down so well, we just had to have them back! One of the most prominent pop groups of the 90s, All Saints distinctive R&B style on tracks like Never Ever, Pure Shores and Black Coffee set them apart from the rest. Having returned to the stage in 2013 the girls are back again with a new album, Testament which comes out later this year. They even chose to debut the first single from it with our own Chris Evans back in May.

The Band of Love

Fusing the worlds of folk and disco, The Band of Love are a one-off collaboration between multi-instrumentalist and producer Mark Tucker (Portishead, PJ Harvey) and a stellar line-up of UK folk musicians from respected veterans to emerging artists including Jim Causley, Alice Jones, Greg Russell, Hannah Martin and Philip Henry. Their mission: to prove that disco and folk are not the oil and water of music, never to be mixed, but kindred spirits in contrasting threads sharing the same family tree of struggle, assertion, joy, sorrow and celebration. Their album Folk Fever, features unique versions of some of the most iconic disco hits of all time making theirs a set that is sure to have you dancing.

Rita Ora

Since emerging in 2012, Rita Ora has become of the UK's biggest pop superstars. With a string of early hits including R.I.P and I Will Never Let You Down, she returned to music last year, after stints as a judge on both The Voice and X Factor to name just a few of the things she got up to, and it was as if she had never been gone, with her Liam Payne collaboration For You recently becoming her fourth UK top ten single. We can't wait for her to bring her powerful vocals and abundant energy to Hyde Park.

Lenny Kravitz

Virtuoso guitarist Lenny Kravitz is one of the most revered rock musicians of our time. With four consecutive Grammy Awards, including setting a record for the most wins in the "Best Male Rock Vocal Performance" category, his combination of funk, soul and rock has produced massive singles like Fly Away, Are You Gonna Go My Way and American Woman. Releasing his 11th album Raise Vibration this year, the charismatic rocker is sure to entertain the Hyde Park crowds.
