Egypt unrest

Egyptian anti-government protesters and supporters of President Hosni Mubarak fought running battles in and around Cairo's Tahrir Square on 2 and 3 February - the ninth and tenth day of unrest.

The army has been trying to keep the opposing factions apart, while anti-Mubarak demonstrators have erected makeshift barricades close to the Egyptian Museum. Tahrir - or Liberation - Square has been the symbolic focus of anti-government demonstrations for more than a week.
