People in Great Yarmouth have been asked to share their experiences for a project called Our Town. It has been launched by Great Yarmouth Museums and will create the town's biggest archive of memories and stories. 成人论坛 Voices, working in partnership with the Sea Change Trust, an arts organisation based in Great Yarmouth, have been helping to get things under way. Yarmouth market "The market in Great Yarmouth celebrates its 800th anniversary in 2008 and is well loved by locals and tourists alike," said 成人论坛 Voices producer Gary Standley. "We couldn't think of a better way of starting off our archive than interviewing stall-holders and getting a behind-the-scenes view of life there. "Some of the people have worked on the stalls for many years and what makes Great Yarmouth different from other places is that traders, like the fruit and veg owners, still grow the food they sell there," he added. Everyday life Colin Stott from Great Yarmouth Museums said the project would centre on a number of things.

"We're going to focus on three main themes. Leisure and popular culture, working life听 and home and family life," he said. "If you've got experiences of living or working in Great Yarmouth we'd like to hear from you," he added. The project is not just about people's memories. Our Town is also keen to hear about experiences of life today. "We've already begun to record stories from people working in the offshore industries," said Colin. "Not just the people working on the oil and gas platforms, but what life is like for their families back home. "Perhaps you have spent time in the fishing industry, or work in the bed and breakfasts or holiday camps," he added. Individual views 成人论坛 Voices is helping the project by offering people the chance to make films about life in Great Yarmouth. "It doesn't matter if you've never done this before," said Gary Standley. "We will give you all the help you need and can even let you use our video cameras and editing equipment. It's a great chance to get some very individual views and thoughts," he added.
