I sensed a purr like ache,
scraped up and barb - wired
within an inch of filth,
slowly slowly curving around,
On forked angel buds,
teasing a whimsical
fly back
Sheering whisps of weeping willow,
feather dusting the world, down and out.
And soon the reapers of insiduous
dreaming sleepers, spin the wheel of
truth
Uttered in a web of whispers,
smoldering grains build castles,
rushing forth
the grinding chains,
Dressed in auburn leaves, fire fly
to those eyes that mindless be,
Each strike,
A breath,
Each loop,
A closure.
For a throw in each path,
I emerge
Sometimes moonlight
in dawn, as a beam
strobing night,
You, as always
the keeper of
locks and bolts
Here, now,
and I revive
in whisps of
fairy smoke,
heavens fleet
a flicker,
and then silently
Defend.
