An icy silence swiftly creeps
Across a frost covered cold corpse
Whilst into the darkness sweeps
A silver-hued and rider-less horse.
That master of this rough terrain
Tosses back his glistening maneÌý
Faster, puffing, through sleet and snow
Nostrils wide – flaring; eyes aglow.
Grey steed bedecked with pearly beads
Witnessed evil and bloody deeds.
In soft white flakes of snow –
He pranced upon a bloody show.
He nuzzled on her sequined cloak
Puzzled that her neck was broke
Oh, how his heavy heart heaved.
Upon her breast he laid his head
‘Twas hopeless to try and rouse the dead.
Savage, cold-blooded masked rider
Ravaged her, a hooded, outsider.
Again he came again to maim.
Entwined with her silver-steed
Both lay dead - shot straight through the head.
Cold white crystals hang in a twilight night
Glazed sapphire jewels gorged outright
Empty sockets deep frozen pockets.
No shrill cries or tears from our eyes
Our hearts forever blood-stained
- For we care less for the un-named.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý
