The modern day A60 coincides with where the River Leen used to run down into a valley in North Nottinghamshire in medieval times. It is here that a tree was chopped down to create a bridge so that travellers didn't have to get their feet wet. Blacke Dickon's tour of Robin Hood's countyOne of the Sherwood Foresters, Blacke Dickon, takes us along the A60. Blacke Dickon: "The story goes that where the River Leen used to run into the valley in North Nottinghamshire is where the fight between Robin Hood and Little John took place."
