I have lived in Hucknall all my life!!!! Remember these rules and you won't go far wrong.. Start at chequers and work up the street to moon or romans.. It's not a violent place at all, as long as you don't start eyeballing anyone, but thats the rule everywhere! Be nice to the bouncers, they remember friendly faces. I never dont have any trouble with them, Just be polite!
Dangerous Jonny
So I'm another one the editor has sensored, I realise certain things are not acceptable, bad language etc of which I have used none.
My unpublished comments about the more dubious bouncers in town & the err ladies that they seem to attract in many cases were genuine (in my own opinion, to which I have a right, don't I ED?) and I think it is a poor & unprofessional image to portray in a pub or club doorway any where. People should be able to say how they really feel about Hucknall otherwise this page is just a big farce???
meok
hucknall,,,,,,,,,lol full of madheads druggies and tarts,
James Harman, Oxton Woods
Yes it has a great nightlife, very similar to Calverton circa. 1970's.
Barry Cooper
Hucknall is a den of vice
Which could never be described as "nice"
If you value your life, wallet or beer
Don't even think of coming here
The population that roams at night
Are full of vitriol, venom and spite
When I lived there (some years before)
The mornings after I did abhor
On waking and venturing outside
You see action frozen in formaldehyde
Blood on the door, sick on the ground
Hucknall's nightlife? Sure - stick around!
Dangerous Jonny
Well you can see what people call me and it is true, yet I'm still weary about the place.
I went to school there and thought it was rough over ten years ago, I'm in IT now but also a trained soldier and I would never dream of going out there at night without an LSW (light Support Weapon) in case I look at someone's pint and big a a tank with the hatch welded shut! At least that will still be in the car park when I get back from the pub!!!

Does Ucknal av a nitlife... well, only thursday to sunday inclusive - dragon to moon with cheq's, plough, grim, booze buster, ex-wine bar (RIP at night - damn shame no energy mixer or holey toilets any more), lion, byron upstairs and down, venables and finally moon, pizza bella and mercers...phew, what more could a self-respecting person who wants an easy night out want eh! good effort, good arrows and aaah! glenn mcgrath, Easum, Dayks and co how ya doin?
Claire
Hucknall is brill, and loads better than eastwood where i come from.
fozzy
we would go long island easum, but mark gets ID'd
dave h
a really good nite out with beer at decent prices, unlike notts
Hood
It's nothing like San Antonio or Ayia Napa, or even Mansfield, yet Hucknall's nightlife tends to attract a lot of people - THE WRONG TYPES OF PEOPLE.
Hood
Ian - are you mad? Why would you even think of moving to such a dreary place? Australia is such an astounding country and you move to Hucknall the worlds grimmest town. I'm sure that Hucknall does have a snooker club however I doubt it has tables just the cues for the nightly battles that go on between its violent inhabitants. And why does the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ keep editing the more negative comments from my posts?
Ian
I just moved here from Australia, where is the snooker club? anyone keen for a game?
Tony - Cambodia
Lets just recap - does Hucknall "have a night life" - I think NO would be quite resounding. Or any life for that matter beyond looking at statues of hawks (most
Captivating really)
Don't you think so . . .

Quote "ive lived ere all my life and its great do knock it until youve tried it" unquote.
Thanks for the intelligible reply there Kev.
Well, I did live in Hucknall all my life and thought it was absolute (not very good al all. Ed) The Hucknall night life truly pathetic along with the rest of it.

Hello to the girl from Hucknall who I got off with in Nottingham on Friday night. What was your name? We went to that club that used to be Madisons then I lost you.
Stacy Betts
Hucknall was alright when i was 15! wouldn't go back to going out in Hucknall! Although the 99p archers and lemonade, they have in the Pilgrim, is well worth the trip! P.S, all the guys are in Notts! x
Rich
Be careful. Look at someone's pint the wrong way and you could end up in hospital.
Colin Swift
You forgot to mention the Royal British Legion - good night most nights, no bouncers, no trouble.
ste
not a bad night out all the women are easy
Liz
Hucknall is behind in many ways-nightlife, restaurants, human evolution....
Exiled from Hucknall
I'm from there originally, but now I wouldn't dream of going out on a friday or saturday in Hucknall even if the beer was free and the bouncers less witless and violent. It's a local town for local people....If you know what I mean.
Steve Daykin
I agree with Easum, Hucknall then town for me!!
wimmy the pooh!!
its not that far to get home if in need of a bit of a change!! (i didnt do the other one though)
james easum
Start in hucknall every saterday and get drunk, then go to longisland in Notts!!!
Claire
Hucknall is great, better than eastwood where i come from.
Pete
mick,
The rock scene is at the Seven Stars (live bands) or the Ploughs back room.
Allie
I agree you need a stab vest. Born and bred me and I daren't go into town
Paul Dale
So, you want a nightclub? talk to the owners of the Safeway shop- what they going to do with that when Morrisons shut it down? If a place like Coalville can have a town centre club, why can't we? or smaller clubs like the cookie club could fit into almost any old shop or upstairs room. If you want it, make it happen- get involved with the regeneration of Hucknall and tell your kids!!
Liz
No, its as bad as Leeds!
dave hough
Like a mini Liverpool really.
Andrew
It must be good - I've heard a rumour that even three of the Harper boys were there last Saturday night - and somebody said it was the three best looking ones as well...
mark p
Its missing one thing, and thats a large club like the old miners welfare where there was a variety of entertainment, and they catered for familys.
Ian
Hucknall — The ‘in’ place in Nottinghamshire — be there or be square
Billy
Maybe it's OK for the locals but for teh rest of us I can't imagine trading a night out on the city for poor old Hucknall!
Nilay Mahida
Are you kidding? Hucknall has a great nightlife. Just look at the snooker club - just my cuppa tea
sam

steve
As an immature 46-yr-old I can commend "The Moon" for having lots of nice friendly locals without inhibitions.
Bayden Jackson
I love it every night I play snooker or pool for 8 hours supping my lickle orange juice. Superb entertainment or what?
rebekah
it looks boring, i prefer rock city, and all night clubbing.. like PROPER
Jon
Sounds Like Long Eaton
Mark

John

Glenn McGrath

mick

Gary Douglas Watson

I wouldn't go there without a stab proof vest and several innoculations.
Mark

Craig Bellamy
Hucknall has a superb nightlife with loads of lovely ladies.
Simon Gregg
Every Friday I go to Hucknall - for the first hour I have a superb game of snooker with me mates (4 pints in there) Then its off on a pub crawl - Green Dragon, Moon, Romans, Red Lion, Pilgrim, Plough and finally Chequers. Then to top it all off a fifty-foot Chinese meal. Aaaaah the life I love it
migsy
why no mention of the plough and harrow ? top pub, friendly faces. give it a go
Richard
You miserable sods...
John
If you like flat beer and 'fun' girls, then Hucknall's THE place to be. If, however, you're normal or like a good time, then you'll leave disappointed.
Ted
Friday nights are great out in Hucknall, lots of friendly "plain jane" girls... lovely
Clem
Two words - Planet Hucknall
Alan
I've had better parties at home with gran.
Ed
It does, but I wouldn't go...
