Neil Diamond to perform in the Radio Theatre for Radio 2
Neil Diamond is recording a very special live session for ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ÌýRadio 2 when he takes to the stage of the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Radio Theatre with his band on Wednesday 14 May 2008.

Neil – the singer and song-writer responsible for such pop classics as Sweet Caroline; Cracklin' Rosie; I'm A Believer; Girl, You'll Be A Woman Soon; and You Don't Bring Me Flowers – releases his 29th studio album Home Before Dark on Monday 12 May.

Home Before Dark reunites Neil with Rick Rubin, the legendary record producer with whom he collaborated on 12 Songs. This 2005 album went in at number five in the UK charts and was the singer's highest-charting debut to date.

Radio 2 is giving away 75 pairs of tickets to see Neil Diamond in the Radio Theatre, one month before his live dates at London's O2 Arena and the Glastonbury Festival.

The concert will broadcast on Radio 2 at 7.00pm on Saturday 17 May and will be available to listen again at bbc.co.uk/radio2 for up to seven days after transmission.
