After a highly successful first series, youth sitcom Coming Of Age has been recommissioned for ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Three.

Tim Dawson, now 20 years old, will return to his comic creation in which a group of sixth-form students in Abingdon enjoy a final romp with adolescence.

Coming Of Age is a celebration of youth and, as well as being scripted by a young writer, features some of the UK's top young comedy actors, including Ceri Phillips (Casualty) as Ollie and Joe Tracini (My Spy Family) as DK.

The first series enjoyed strong ratings on ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Three with a very impressive share of 6% for 16-34s – well above the slot average - and an average weekly reach of 1.2 million.

Its popularity amongst the youth audience is reflected in its performance on platforms such as the ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ Three website and ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ iPlayer – there was high demand for online premieres of each episode, and the programme was always in the top ten requested programmes on ³ÉÈËÂÛ̳ iPlayer the day following transmission.

Tim Dawson will write the eight new 30-minute episodes. Executive Producer will be Jo Sargent.
