Eurovision Song Contest 2010 – Pete Waterman

Pete Waterman

Pete Waterman is pop. He has been involved in the writing and/or production of over 200 hit songs, including 22 No. 1 records.

Pete has been instrumental in the development of dozens of successful groups and solo artists, among them Rick Astley, Steps, Mel & Kim and Kylie Minogue.

He has written and produced songs for some of the biggest names in the music industry, including Cliff Richard, Debbie Harry, The Three Degrees and Donna Summer.

Amongst his many awards and accolades, Pete Waterman has been a winner of the British Phonographic Industry Award for Best British Producer and was awarded the OBE in the 2005 Queen's New Years Honours List, for his services to music as composer and producer.

In 1984, the legendary production team of Stock Aitken Waterman was formed.

The Guinness Book of Records recognises SAW as being the most successful songwriters and record producers in British Chart history.

Stock Aitken Waterman are the only songwriting team to have received the prestigious Ivor Novello Songwriter of the Year award a record three consecutive times.
