Jill Douglas presents highlights of today's road cycling world championships from Melbourne, Australia.

The women's road race course is a gruelling 127.2km long and provides a real test of the cyclists' abilities as they power round the streets of Geelong. Great Britain's team is spearheaded by Olympic champion Nicole Cooke and an in-form Emma Pooley. They are ably assisted by three more riders out of a squad of Lizzie Armitstead, Katie Colclough, Sharon Laws, Lucy Martin and Catherine Williamson. Last year's event, in Switzerland, was won by Italy's Tatiana Guderzo.

Merlin and Arthur find themselves vastly outnumbered in a tavern brawl, but an enigmatic young man helps them to victory, as the fantasy drama continues.

The stranger, Gwaine, risks his life to protect the Prince and is seriously wounded in the process. Arthur takes him back to Camelot where he quickly makes a recovery and gets to work: drinking, charming the ladies and causing trouble for Merlin – who has been charged with looking after him.

But when what appears to be two unscrupulous knights try to kill the Prince, can Merlin and the inscrutable stranger stop them before it is too late?

Merlin is played by Colin Morgan, Arthur by Bradley James and Gwaine by Eoin Macken.

The dancing couples face the first leader board tonight

While seven of the couples can breathe a sigh of relief, for seven more, their nerves will be tested as they take to the floor and face the panel of judges for the first time, in the first live Saturday show of the celebrity dance competition.

Viewers can discover who presenter Bruce Forsyth picks as his favourite and whether tonight is the first time head judge Len Goodman awards one of his "sevens". As the first leader board is completed, who's hot to trot – and who needs to trot a little faster – will be revealed.

Also on tonight’s show pop superstars Robbie Williams and Gary Barlow take to the floor to perform their new duet, Shame.

It's all hands on deck when the Emergency Department faces its cleanliness inspection and the team's first battle in their campaign to impress the powers that be, as the medical drama continues. Unfortunately for Lenny he has his mind on other things – namely the gorgeous Chrissie – so he's late for work and neglecting his duties, incurring Jordan's wrath.

In preparation for the cleanliness inspection, Tess assigns the whole team cleaning duties. Everyone is even more nervous when they hear the inspector is the terrifying "Big Don". Lenny is late for work again after spending the night with Chrissie, so Jordan puts him in charge of cleaning resus. However, Lenny is distracted when Chrissie visits him at work. Not only does he forget to clean up resus, but he also loses Lorretta, an elderly Alzheimer's patient. Her husband Roy and daughter Helen are distraught. On top of that Lenny might have just lost them the bacteriology award...

Meanwhile, Adam and Kirsty come to blows when they disagree on how to handle an unco-operative patient who believes he's dead. Kirsty thinks that by playing up to his delusions is the answer, so she enlists Yuki and Mads to help out. Crucially, while treating him, Yuki discovers that Adam's diagnosis was wrong; has his insight saved the day?

For a moment, things seem to be on the up, until Holby receives more negative press regarding the day's events. Henry is furious – they must have a mole leaking information. Lenny is disturbed when he recognises the reporter's name.

Michael McIntyre continues his Comedy Roadshow with a visit to the Grand Theatre in Blackpool. Headlining is brilliant Liverpudlian comic John Bishop with guest turns from Justin Moorhouse, Miles Jupp and Terry Alderton.

Blackpool is the third location on Michael's travels around the UK in which he visits six of the most prestigious live theatre venues to unearth a raft of comedy's brightest new talent and finest comedians.

Other headline acts to appear throughout the series include Ardal O'Hanlan in Leeds, Noel Fielding in Bristol and Tommy Tiernan in Dublin.

Gary Lineker presents highlights from today's Premier League matches, including the clash between Sunderland and Manchester United.

The Red Devils are desperate to get their hands on the Premier League trophy they surrendered to Chelsea last year, but the Stadium of Light is always a difficult place to go to and Black Cats manager Steve Bruce invested heavily in his squad again this summer. Bruce was a legend during his playing days at Old Trafford, yet since becoming a manager he has failed to get one over on his former boss Sir Alex Ferguson in 15 attempts.

West Ham faced their second successive London derby as they entertained Fulham at Upton Park, while there was an intriguing match-up across the capital at White Hart Lane as Tottenham took on Aston Villa. Everton had a difficult game away at Birmingham, as did Blackburn Rovers, who travelled to Stoke. Elsewhere, Wigan played Wolves and West Brom met Bolton.

Naomi Wilkinson and Steve Backshall limber up for an action-packed show this week as the Live 'n' Deadly trucks roll into the North West. Sebastien Foucan shows off his expert free-running skills and the programme also follows a group of parkour fanatics who demonstrate their agility in the woods.

There are more animal antics as Naomi finds out whether swans are cute or deadly and the audience is tasked with trying to build a beaver dam. Delving deep, the programme goes pond dipping and aims to find out what deadly creatures might be lurking at the bottom of local ponds. Plus Steve gets to spend the night up one of the tallest trees in Britain.

The fun does not stop after the show has ended. On Sunday, Steve will be visiting Liverpool for the Deadly Day Out, giving viewers the chance to get up close and personal with British wildlife, try out a new outdoor adventure and see Steve and his motley collection of Deadly animals.

The RIBA Stirling Prize 2010 – A Culture Show Special

This Culture Show special comes live from the Roundhouse in London where Kevin McCloud fronts the biggest event in the architectural calendar – the announcement of the Royal Institute of British Architects' Stirling Prize.

Now in its 15th year, the RIBA Stirling Prize is the UK's most prestigious architecture prize and is awarded to the best new European building "built or designed in Britain". This year's shortlisted buildings are: Bateman's Row, a mixed-use development in East London by architects Theis and Khan; two schools: Christ's College School, Guildford, designed by DSDHA, and Clapham Manor School, by dRMM; and three museums: the Ashmolean in Oxford by Rick Mather Architects, Maxxi National Museum of XXI Century Arts in Rome by Zaha Hadid and the Neues Museum in Berlin by David Chipperfield Architects with Julian Harrap Architects.

Architectural critic Tom Dyckhoff presents brief films about each of the shortlisted buildings; puts their different styles into context by explaining how each building relates to the principles of modernism; and looks back at the history of the Stirling Prize. During the live event, Kevin McCloud talks to the Stirling Prize judges about their thoughts on all six of the shortlisted buildings, and Ruth Reed, RIBA president, announces the winner of this year's Stirling Prize.

Hazel Irvine presents highlights of day two of the 38th Ryder Cup at Celtic Manor.

The USA and Europe went into the second day facing another tense order of play of Foursomes in the morning and Fourballs in the afternoon. Europe have traditionally found some strong pairings in these formats and team captain Colin Montgomerie will be desperate for a good showing ahead of Sunday's decisive singles.

In Valhalla two years ago, Europe managed to pick up four-and-a-half points on Saturday but it proved to be in vain as the Americans went on to cruise to a resounding victory.
