Kingsley Amis - I Spy Strangers

4 Extra Debut. Tensions run high as a group of British soldiers hold a mock parliament between VE and VJ days in 1945. Stars Iain Cuthbertson.

By 1945 the servicemen in Europe were longing for demob and hoping to avoid the war in the Far East. Major Raleigh's company was very much at a loose end, so holding a mock parliament seemed a good way of keeping the men out of mischief.

Stars Iain Cuthbertson as Jock Watson, Steve Hodson as Major Raleigh, Anthony Jackson as Sgt Hargreave and Philip Fox as Lt Frank Archer.
