Ricky Ross from Deacon Blue performs tracks from his new solo album live in the Radio 2 Piano Room. Plus there's another round of PopMaster and the daily Love Song.

Ricky Ross from Deacon Blue performs tracks from his new solo album live in the Radio 2 Piano Room. Ricky's new record, 'Short Stories Vol.1' was recorded over two days at Chameleon Studios in Hamburg and had strings and a choir added in Glasgow. It's full of brand new songs, some well-known Deacon Blue tracks, and new recording of tracks that have been very hard to find. For 30 years as part of Deacon Blue Ricky has written and recorded records that have gone onto sell millions of copies. He's had hit singles including, "Real Gone Kid", "Fergus Sings the Blues", "Dignity" and "Wages Day". Plus he's also written for other artists including James Blunt, Ronan Keating, Jamie Cullum, and Nanci Griffith.
Ken also has a special Tracks of My Years with Des Lynam to celebrate Radio 2's 50th birthday. Des reflect on his time at the nation's favourite radio station working firstly as part of the 成人论坛 Sport team and then later presenting his own music shows. He picks songs from the 1970s from Pickettywitch and Charles Aznavour and tells Ken why they're so important to him. There's also another edition of the PopMaster music quiz and the daily Love Song.
