Tha euslaintich thar-phlanntachaidh fhaighinn 'beatha 霉r'. Transplant patients are given a 'new life'.

Tha euslaintich thar-phlanntachaidh am measg an fheadhainn a gheibh "beatha 霉r". 脌s d猫idh tinneas, feumar tric feitheamh bliadhnaichean airson ball-bodhaig 霉r. Tha thar-phlanntachadh air a bhith comasach fad 100 bliadhna. Bho chionn ghoirid thathar air ceuman m貌ra a dh猫anamh. Gabhaidh rud a bha do-chreidsinneach bho chionn beagan bhliadhnaichean a dh猫anamh: gabhaidh buill-bodhaig a-nise an cumail be貌 fad l脿ithean, seach uairean. Tha luchd-rannsachaidh a' sireadh dh貌ighean air fulangas nam ball a leudachadh. Gabhaidh buill nach biodh freagarrach airson an ath-chur aig aon 脿m an cleachdadh a-nise.

Transplant patients are among the people who are given a "new life". After a serious illness, they often have to wait years for the life-saving organ to be found and used. Transplants have been medically possible for 100 years but progress in this area has been taking giant strides in recent times.

What was unthinkable just a few years ago is now possible: donor organs can now be kept 鈥渁live鈥 not just for hours, but for days. Researchers are now trying to change the tolerance limits for donor organs. Some that previously would not have met the requirements for a donation can already be used successfully today.
