Exeter 16
Christina Trevanion goes below ground to explore Exeter’s secret passages, while the teams shop for antiques, hoping to unearth a profit at auction.
Christina Trevanion dons a hard hat and descends into a network of little-known tunnels underneath the ancient city of Exeter. By torchlight, she explores passageways six metres under the city streets that used to carry water pipes into the heart of Exeter.
Above ground, the teams delve into the antique stalls to unearth treasures to sell at auction in the nearby village of Hele. Digging for profits are the blues, sales assistants Jack and Shaun, with their expert Ben Cooper. Hoping to extinguish their plans are the reds, firefighters Andrew and Steve, guided by expert Richard Madley.
Shaun smells profits when they spot a cut-glass and silver scent bottle, while Steve isn’t exactly bowled over by two homemade cricket bats. Can auctioneer Adam Partridge hit a six for the teams, or will they be out for a duck?
