Stanley
Having recently lost his life partner, Stanley opts to shut out the world. However, a new friendship with his grandson helps him see the importance of love, support and family.
Stanley struggles to cope with the grief of losing his life partner, choosing to distance himself from his family members and shut out the world. A man of habit, he continues to go for his daily walk along the nearby coastline, something he used to do with his partner every day, sitting on the same bench to chat and watch the boats go by. When asked one day by his son to look after his grandson, Frank, Stanley reluctantly takes him on his daily walk with him. Their friendship blossoms and deepens as they spend time together, bringing a new sense of optimism into Stanley鈥檚 world. Through the eyes of a child, Stanley is able to see the joy of family, friendship and love once again.
