Rucks, Trucks and Rock 'n' Roll: Inside the Stadium

With access to the men and women who keep the show running and stage everything from rugby internationals to rock concerts, this is the nation’s favourite stadium as you’ve never seen it before.

For a quarter of a century, the Principality Stadium has been at the heart of cultural, musical and sporting life in the Welsh capital. Although synonymous with rugby – and regularly topping polls of the best rugby stadium in the world – it hosts a dizzying variety of events.

For the first time, cameras have been allowed access all areas to shine a light on the army of workers who deliver the events that bring the country together.

Over the course of a year, the team tackle everything from the Six Nations to Swifties, from Monster Jam to the Piano Man. Whether it is taking delivery of 300 truckloads of mud, teaching a global superstar the Welsh language or what role a bird of prey plays in a stadium event, we meet the team behind the scenes that make the stadium tick.

Through characters like Marc and Alex in events, Sheryn and Gurpreet in stewarding and Tracey and Ryan from hospitality, we learn about how the different parts of the stadium come together to deliver an event. We learn of the close bonds formed between colleagues, some of which have developed over 20 years, and see how for them this is more than just a job.

From the players' tunnel pre-match to the control room that oversees everything that takes place in the stands, this is as close to the action as it is possible to get.

On the stadium's 25th anniversary, Inside the Stadium pulls back the curtain on your favourite events and reveals how much it means to those who’ve helped create moments you’ll never forget.
