Loch Lomond: gold mine

A variety of view points are put forward for and against the setting up of a gold mine within the National Park. Scotgold's initial application was turned down by the National Park Authority in the face of public objections and environmental concerns. Representatives of Scotgold discuss the jobs the scheme would bring to the area and compare these to the seasonal tourism-based jobs that many in the area rely on. Since the film was made, Scotgold revised their application and the National Park Authority has approved their application.
