A day of fasting and prayer for peace led by Pope John Paul II

The coming together of 12 different religious leaders to call for a truce in armed conflicts around the world. They include Pope John Paul II, Robert Runcie, Archbishop Methodios, Buddhism's Dalai Lama, Uruguayan Emilio Castro, South Africa's Allan Boesak, Metropolitan Filaret and Mother Teresa of Calcutta.
