Phosa: 'The ANC is on the decline'
The tension leading up to the African National Congress (ANC) elective conference had many observers postulating over whether this particular poll would tear the organisation apart.
So what's the long term future for the liberation movement that became a political party and went on to rule South Africa following apartheid? National elections are due in around 18 months and many feel the ANC could see its significant majority slashed considerably.
Mathews Phosa is one of the party's heavyweights. A lawyer by training, he was a governor of one the country's provinces and had ambitions to be both deputy president and president.
The 成人论坛's Lerato Mbele sat down with him to ask if the ANC's future could be brighter than its recent past.
