On Tuesday 20th November 5 Live is hosted the #sextakeover - a day of programming focussed on sexual behaviour, relationships and attitudes in the UK.

As part of the event, we commissioned a poll to find out more about the UK's attitudes towards sex.

Approaching half (45%) of British adults say stress has had a negative impact on their sex life. A third (32%) and a quarter (26%) of British adults say physical health and mental health issues have had a negative impact, respectively.

A similar proportion of British adults say pornography has had a positive impact on their sex life (11%) as those who say it has had a negative impact (12%) on their sex life, and nearly half (47%) say it has no impact.
