What impact can a cancer diagnosis have on those who are neurodivergent?
As part of our ‘Living with Cancer’ series, Michaela Strachan looks into the impact a diagnosis can have on the 10 million people in the UK who are neurodivergent. Michaela meets Sarah, who was diagnosed with leukaemia in January. Sarah has severe dyslexia, which makes it difficult for her to read and says one of the biggest challenges is trying to take in all the information she received. Michaela meets the healthcare professionals changing the way they work to adapt to the needs of neurodiverse patients.
