The 17-year-old lives with her mum, dad and three brothers. Her mum, a rhythmic gym teacher, started training her from the age of 9 and coached her to an international level.

In 2018, Hannah represented England in the Commonwealth Games and was the youngest member of the team. She came fifth in her ball routine and is currently the British Champion in Hoop and Ribbon.

However, she has now given up competing and is focusing on dance, but she does take inspiration from it and fuses the two of them together.

“I’ve always loved dance because it allows me to express myself and convey my emotions to an audience in a way that Rhythmic Gymnastics does not,” says Hannah.

“The training was getting really tough and it was putting a big strain on my family. I felt that for the sake of everyone it was better to focus more on dance, but it was a big change as everything I knew up to then was gymnastics. One day I was training, the next it had finished,” she adds.

Hannah’s favourite style of dance is lyrical contemporary with a mix of rhythmic gymnastics. But she has also trained in ballet, pointe and jazz.
