The song that earned them a place in numerous hearts at Welsh festivals in 2015 - Aberystwyth Yn Y Glaw - harks back to prime Libertines; Promenad is a hybrid of The Strokes and Vampire Weekend, or Mystery Jets if Mystery Jets came from Mid-Wales.
Their most recent EP ( Huno ) is something else entirely… shimmering with heady dream pop that is given gravitas by Iolo’s rich vocals.
It’s easy to hear why the band have won accolades at The Eisteddfod, from the influential Selar magazine, and - now - as one of the Horizon 2016 artists.
