Graham Norton

Talking talent with the presenter extraordinaire

With a television career spanning over 20 years, BAFTA-winning Graham Norton is set to transport his trademark wit and renowned warmth to Let It Shine alongside co-host Mel Giedroyc.

Musical theatre's so lovely and happy and clappy, but doing it is as tough as show business gets
Graham

Graham’s no stranger to musical theatre, having trod the boards himself in the part of Albin (aka drag queen Zaza) in the West End smash-hit La Cage aux Folles. But the casting process bore little similarity to the audition process in Let It Shine. “Embarrassingly,” Graham admits, “although I have done a musical, I didn’t really have to audition, they just said, ‘would you like to do that’? And I said ‘yep,’ and that was it!”

Nonetheless, Graham’s respect for the industry knows no bounds, and he’s aware what a tough career it is that our Let It Shine hopefuls are aiming to pursue. “I think the thing people forget is that musical theatre, when you watch it, it’s so lovely and happy and clappy, but doing it is as tough as show business gets.”

With multiple BAFTAs to his name for his tiptop presenting skills, Graham has been the face of many 成人论坛 programmes over the years; The Graham Norton Show, Eurovision, and in 2016, Children in Need. He is also the voice of Radio 2 on a Saturday morning, with his extremely popular weekly show. As if he needed another string to his 成人论坛 bow, he’s now one half of our talented Let It Shine presenting duo! Can’t wait to see what Graham’s going to bring to Let It Shine? Neither can we.
