Luke Massey
Luke captured some of the memorable April shower time-lapses in the spring episode.
He also captured the nighttime harvest that feature in the summer episode.

Luke says:
鈥淚've always been a bit obsessed with nature and spend way too much time waiting around for various animals to show themselves so I can film them, it seemed sensible to get into time lapse to pass the time.
A lot of stuff goes on our doorsteps on a daily basis, from harvesting to weather systems. Neither of which we ever fully appreciate, unveiling these in time-lapse gives a whole different perspective.
For The Great British Year I focused on human activities such as harvesting as well as natural events such as April showers. No one ever really stands by and watches the whole event unfold so it was quite interesting to see a field of corn disappearing frame by frame or April showers travelling across a landscape, the unfurling clouds and changing light can be quite spectacular.
The only problem now is my obsession with time lapse has led to me driving along motorways unable to stop, seeing cool cloud formations or rain storms and constantly thinking what a great time lapse that would make!鈥
