The husband of Florrie and father of Jack, Kitty, Adam and Sam, Albert can pull rank as head of the household, but he is compassionate too.
Albert works as a signalman at Folkestone Harbour Station, where Jack also works until he signs up. He has a good friendship with Norman Harris, who lives nearby, and whose work intersects with his. In his spare time he keeps pigeons - his favourite is called Mrs Bishop.
