D.I. Elliott Carne
The male detective on Ivy鈥檚 case.
An only child growing up in Glasgow, Carne suffered an unhappy childhood. Aged sixteen, his father told him he’d done his best – the rest was up to Carne. Carne left for London and started over. Needing structure and purpose, he joined the police. His gut instinct and all-consuming style of policing led him to swift promotion and after ten years in the Met he transferred to Bristol. It was here he joined a partnership with DS Merchant. While his career really matters to him, Carne’s very far from squeaky clean.
With Ivy’s return, Carne’s instinct to protect her will consume him.
Richard Rankin
Richard Rankin will soon be seen on screens in the second series of hit series Outlander, playing the character of Roger Wakefield. Last year, he appeared in the third series of Kay Mellor’s 成人论坛1 drama , as well as dark crime miniseries . Richard starred opposite Anna Friel in political thriller American Odyssey, and played an army medic in Sarah Phelps’ First World War drama .
Richard’s film credits include a small role in Burnt, and earlier work includes the 成人论坛 Scotland comedy , in which he starred for all three series.
