In this entry from Iran, Mahdi documents his trip to the city of Mashhad where each year pilgrims from Iran and other Shia countries gather in rememberance of the prophet Mohammad and two of his grandsons. Pilgrims use a traditional whip to demonstrate their respect at this holy site.
