Day One

Bill Thompson and Gareth Mitchell reflect on the first day at the South By Southwest Festival in Austin, Texas.

With much of the event - centred on latest developments in technology and culture - still "under construction", the first day was all about registration and the building anticipation.

The team also visited Austin public radio station KUT, who are heavily involved in recording bands for the musical part of SXSW.
